David V. Johnson, Chairman of Victor International Corporation, is internationally respected as a successful entrepreneur and luxury community and resort developer committed to creating unique living and working environments that exist in ecological harmony with the land. In 2003, Johnson and Bay Harbor were awarded the prestigious international Award for Excellence by the Urban Land Institute for excellence in design, planning and development. Once named Entrepreneur of the Year by USA Today, Johnson has also been hailed as Environmentalist of the Year by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, as Bloomfield Hills Rotary Club's 2006 Distinguished Community Leader, and as the 2006 Developer of the Year by the Building Industry Association. In 2009, Bay Harbor, the highest user of electric vehicles per capita in the world, set the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest parade of electric vehicles, with 218 participating. At the same time, Johnson became the first recipient of the GEM Visionary Award for his outstanding contribution to the application of alternative fuel vehicles in planned communities. Most recently, two of Johnson’s developments won esteemed four-star CNBC International Property Awards. North Sound Yacht Club was named “Best Marina Development” and Bay Harbor was named “Best Development USA.” This honor of excellence has become recognized and appreciated by property buyers the world over.

Johnson has supported a host of local and national organizations. In 1988 he established the Victor Foundation, providing charitable contributions to foster programs for children. He is a founding member of both the Bay Harbor Foundation and the North Sound Foundation, which contribute to the advancement of educational, cultural, social, and other charitable community endeavors of importance.

Johnson has significant involvement with the Urban Land Institute, as a past trustee and as a member of the Recreational Development Council. He also sits on the Board of Governors for the ULI Foundation and is a member of the ULI Detroit Steering Committee. Johnson’s memberships include the World Presidents' Organization (WPO), Chief Executive Officers (CEO), the Detroit Presidents' Organization (DPO) and the National Association of Realtors. His former affiliations include serving the Michigan Department of Natural Resources as a State Waterways Commissioner. Johnson is also a former member of The Young Presidents Organization (YPO). In addition to his degree from Michigan State University, Johnson holds an honorary doctorate from Cleary University in Ann Arbor, Michigan and is a 17 year annual participant, group leader and graduate of the Presidents’ Program at Harvard Business School.

Johnson and wife Pamela, together with daughters Samara, Jennifer and Jennifer's husband Andy, are boating enthusiasts and enjoy bird hunting. Johnson and his wife Pam are passionate equestrians.
